Fürth: We are pleased to announce two new Metz CyclePoint locations!
At the end of April, two of our e-bike rental stations, each with five shared pedelecs, were officially opened at the Klinikum S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations, directly behind the Christkönigkirche (Christ King Church), and on Flugplatzstraße near the Golfpark. During a press conference with Managing Director Wilhelm Daum and Mayor Dr. Thomas Jung, two stations were officially opened.
Our Metz CyclePoint sharing fleet offers motor-assisted bicycles for rent. E-bikes are rented and returned at the charging stations. The vehicles are secured there, and the batteries are automatically charged. Rental and return are station-based, meaning the bikes are "cleaned up." A smartphone app controls the rental process.
The Metz CyclePoint stations are a sustainable model that can be used to integrate environmentally friendly mobility into the infrastructure concepts of cities and municipalities in residential areas, student residences, or parking garages. The CyclePoint stations are specially adapted for Metz pedelecs. Our portfolio includes compact bikes, cargo bikes, and, starting in mid-2024, LongJohn cargo bikes.
The technology is designed for year-round use, so METZ pedelecs are available to users even during the winter months. A Europe-wide distribution network is being established.
