Refund policy

 

1. Right of Withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.

2. Withdrawal Period

The withdrawal period shall be fourteen days from the day on which you or a third party other than the carrier designated by you takes possession of the goods.

3. Address

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us at Metz mobility GmbH, Merzbacher Straße 5, 90619 Trautskirchen, Germany, Telephone: +49 911 9 7536-90, Email: sales@metz-mobility.de of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g., a letter sent by post or email). You may use the attached sample withdrawal form for this purpose, but this is not mandatory.

4. Compliance with the deadline

To comply with the cancellation period, it is sufficient that you send the notification of your exercise of the right of cancellation before the expiry of the cancellation period.

5. Consequences of Cancellation

If you cancel this contract, we will refund all payments we have received from you, including delivery costs (with the exception of additional costs resulting from your choice of a delivery method other than the cheapest standard delivery offered by us), promptly and at the latest within fourteen days from the date on which we received notification of your cancellation of this contract. For this refund, we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; under no circumstances will you be charged any fees for this refund.

6. Right of Retention

We may refuse to refund until we have received the goods back or until you have provided proof that you have returned the goods, whichever is earlier.

7. Return of Goods

You must return or hand over the goods to us promptly and in any event no later than fourteen days from the date on which you notify us of the cancellation of this contract. This deadline is met if you send the goods before the expiry of the fourteen-day period.

8. Return Costs

You will bear the return costs proportionately according to our return cost table; shipping costs for the initial shipment will be reimbursed.

9. Compensation for Contracts for the Delivery of Goods

You only have to pay for any loss of value of the goods if this loss of value is due to handling of the goods that is not necessary to check their quality, properties, and functioning, or to improper packaging during return. We, as the seller, bear the transport risk itself (e.g., loss or damage despite proper packaging).

  1. Note on Using a Pedelec Test Ride
    You may inspect the bicycle to the extent that would be possible in a retail store, i.e., for example, by checking the bicycle's condition. B. by taking a short test ride of approximately 1 kilometer to test the gears, brakes, or size. Use beyond this (e.g., longer rides in traffic or for everyday use) constitutes use that leads to a loss of value. If you have used the bicycle beyond what is necessary for the test (e.g., riding several kilometers), we are entitled to deduct the resulting loss of value from the refund amount.

  2. Note on packaging and liability for returns
    Please return the bicycle to us in its original packaging, if possible. If you no longer have the original packaging, please ensure suitable and secure packaging that ensures adequate protection of the bicycle during transport. As the consumer, you are liable for transport damage resulting from inadequate packaging.
