JobRad is the market leader in company bike leasing. As a mobility service provider, JobRad organizes company bike leasing between employers, employees, and specialist bike dealers using a digital portal solution, easily and cost-neutrally.

Here's how it works: Employees select their desired bike at Metz or online. Employers lease the JobRad and provide it to employees for both professional and private use.

If employees purchase a JobRad through salary conversion, they benefit from a tax incentive (0.25 %-rule) and save significantly compared to a conventional purchase. An employer-funded company bike (JobRad as a salary bonus) is even free of charge and tax-free for the employee.

Self-employed individuals also benefit from the advantages of company bike leasing. You cycle tax-free and preserve your company's liquidity.

How exactly does the ordering process work?

  2. Select your Metz Pedelec and add it to your shopping cart.
  3. Select “JobRad” as your payment method when ordering.
  4. In the comment field, enter the email address (employer) registered with Jobrad and your telephone number where we can reach you.
  5. Please do not upload your offer to the JobRad portal yourself. We'll do it for you.
  6. The offer will appear on your JobRad portal. You can confirm your offer here.
  7. Once your employer and JobRad have confirmed the offer, we will prepare the delivery.
  8. Confirm the delivery of your Metz Pedelec in your JobRad portal – you can now start riding immediately!
  9. The monthly leasing rate for your Metz JobRad will be deducted from your payroll.

Can you also use a JobRad privately?

Yes! You can ride your JobRad for both work and private purposes. There's no minimum usage requirement, for example, for commuting. However, your employer can set specific requirements if they wish.

Are there any costs for employers?

As an employer, you can offer JobRad to your employees at no cost. The administrative overhead is minimal and is handled digitally via the myJobRad portal.

In addition, the conversion of leasing payments into cash reduces social security costs for both employees and employers.

Why is JobRad cheaper than buying directly?

Especially since company bikes are tax-incentivized! How? With a JobRad (job bike) through salary conversion, a portion of the employee's salary entitlement is converted into a non-cash benefit. This reduces the taxable income for both the employee and the employer. The resulting non-cash benefit is taxable by the employee—but since 2020, only at 0.25% of the gross list price.

How long is the leasing contract term for a JobRad?

The individual leasing contract is concluded between the employer as the lessee and the lessor for an agreed term of 36 months. The term of the individual leasing contract begins on the first of the month following the takeover of the JobRad.

What are leasing accessories?
